Eastern Slope Technologies is excited to bring next-generation Fiber to the Home (FTTH) connectivity to our Strasburg community.
With all permits approved in Adams County, work officially begins the week of July 27, 2026.
- Our crews from Amerine are currently focusing their efforts on the Northwest part of the Strasburg service area to lay the mainline for the FTTH.

We are currently preparing a major infrastructure upgrade to bring Fiber to the Home (FTTH) to Strasburg. This represents the pinnacle of internet technology, delivering a fiber-optic connection directly to your doorstep.

Project Status & Roadmap
We have officially submitted permits to Adams county to begin construction on our fiber infrastructure. The Engineering has been done in both Adams and Arapahoe counties.
- Scope: Our current plan includes building out Strasburg.
- Phasing: Construction will commence north of the interstate and transition south upon completion of the initial phase.
- Timeline: This is estimated to be a 3-year project from start to finish.
Questions Regarding Current Infrastructure
We have received inquiries regarding the existing network. Please note that the current system remains identical to the infrastructure previously managed by TDS. While we have not made system-wide changes yet, we are actively updating equipment for individual members experiencing service issues.

We are excited to welcome you to Eastern Slope Technologies! As part of the transition from TDS, there will be no changes to your bill or services at this time. On your first bill, you will find your new account number—please keep it accessible, as it will be needed for several of our payment options.
Previous Auto Pay Members
Due to privacy rules, you’ll need to re enroll autopay:
-Checking/Savings: Enter your information via our SmartHub member portal or call the Business Office for a Recurring Payment Authorization Form.
-Credit/Debit Card: Enter your information via our SmartHub member portal.
*Autopay Timing: Payments will process around the 10th of each month (or next business day if it falls on a weekend).

–SmartHub-Register online, visit our member portal for full account management.
–Automatic Payments-Set up with your checking/savings or credit/debit card through SmartHub. Visit our member portal.
–Online Pay Now-Visit our member portal, to pay online with your first ESTech invoice.
–Pay-By-Phone-Call 855-940-4015 (have your account number and 4-digit Pin ready). Contact our business office at 719-743-2441, to create your 4-digit pin.
–Check Payments: Make checks payable to Eastern Slope Technologies and mail to: PO Box 397, Hugo, CO 80821-0397.
Moving forward, you will receive a monthly invoice from ESTech, with a new due date. Bills are due upon receipt and will receive a late fee after the 25th.

Letter to Strasburg Members - September 11, 2025
Subject: Important Account Changes-ESTech Transition
Welcome to EASTERN SLOPE TECHNOLOGIES (ESTech)
ESTech has acquired the TDS Telecom network in your area and will now be your communications provider! We are excited to be servicing your area and look forward to providing quality services with professional customer care. We are reaching out to discuss several upcoming changes to your account.
Should you have voice services with TDS, as of October 10, 2025, your TDS voicemail account will be discontinued. Please be sure to save any voicemails of importance to a new location by this date to ensure nothing is lost in the transition. Once the transition is complete, we will provide you with updated information on setting up voicemail on your account with ESTech.
For anyone using the TDS email platform (tds.net), this will no longer be supported after October 10, 2025. You will need to set up an email account with a new email provider (Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Outlook.com, Apple Mail, etc). Also, check any of your banking, financial, social media, or other accounts that you may be using a tds.net account and make changes to those as well. ESTech can create an esrta.com email address for any members interested. Please call the Business Office at (719)743-2441 to get that process started.
Effective November 2025, your invoice will come from ESTech. October 2025 will be your last invoice from TDS for services. Due to privacy regulations, we are unable to transfer any recurring payment information from TDS to ESTech. To ensure a smooth payment process moving forward, we will provide information in your November bill to set up recurring payments with ESTech. At that point you will have an account number with ESTech that will be used with our payment platform, SmartHub. We will include all payment methods available with ESTech with your first invoice.
Beginning November 2025, ESTech will issue a monthly invoice that will be sent out the beginning of each month. Bills are due upon receipt and will receive a late fee if payment is received after the 25th. If you choose to set up autopay, your payment will be processed on or around the 10th of each month. Should the 10th fall on a weekend, your payment will process the next business day.
Please note during the migration between October 10th and October 15th there will be a temporary freeze to any changes you can make to your account. During this time, you will still have services provided.

As of July 1, 2025, Eastern Slope Rural Telephone Association, Inc. (ESRTA) has officially completed the acquisition of Strasburg Telephone Company from TDS. ESRTA operates under its wholly owned subsidiary, Eastern Slope Technologies (ESTech). We are honored to have the opportunity to serve you and your community with the same care and commitment our current members have come to expect—now with the added strength, reliability, and support ESTech brings.

Both companies are working collaboratively to prepare for this transfer of ownership. We are equally committed to ensuring a smooth transition over the next 3-4 months for existing members. TDS will continue handling billing and customer service during the transition, giving time to switch over systems for billing, member records, and equipment setup.
No immediate action is required for current TDS customers. Eastern Slope Technologies is focused on ensuring a seamless transition. In the upcoming months members will receive information from ESTech about services, billing, and what to anticipate moving forward.

What is a Co-Op and What are Capital Credits?
If you are new to a Co-Op, the simplest explanation is a co-op is it is owned by its members, when you sign up for internet or phone services through Eastern Slope Technologies, you are not a customer, you are a member.
As a non-profit, Eastern Slope Rural Telephone allocates its annual operating margins to the members in the form of capital credits, this does not mean that you have overpaid, and we are refunding you. When the financial condition of the Cooperative permits and upon approval of the Board of Directors, a portion of these credits is allocated to eligible members in the form of a check. Active members have the option to apply these capital credits toward the balance of any current Eastern Slope Technologies bill.
