CAPITAL CREDITS
About Capital Credits
What are Capital Credits? Capital credits reflect each member’s ownership in the cooperative. As a non-profit, Eastern Slope Rural Telephone allocates its annual operating margins to the members in the form of capital credits, in proportion to the services purchased.
When the financial condition of the Cooperative permits and upon approval of the Board of Directors, a portion of these credits is allocated to eligible members in the form of a check. Active members have the option to apply these capital credits toward the balance of any current Eastern Slope Technologies bill.
A more detailed explanation of capital credits can be found in Article VII Cooperative Operation of the Bylaws of Eastern Slope Rural Telephone Association, Inc.
Capital Credit checks will be mailed out June 14, 2023.
Members who had service in 2007 or 2021 will receive a Capital Credit check in 2023.
